Ability to permanently delete projects
As of now projects deleted from console go to shutdown state and stay there for a while. Also there is a limit of 5 projects per user. It would be nice to be able to permanently delete a project by the user instead of waiting.
Thanks, we’re looking at how we can improve this. As customers develop a history of usage and payments over time, limits like project count and other quotas can be raised.

This is a full blocker for my automated use of the Google Cloud. I need to create and delete projects on a daily base and re-use the same project name. Now I run into the account limitation as well as not being able to create a new project with the old id.

+2 ! What an ominous missing feature from the world's largest violator of user privacy. If a user wants their information to be deleted, it's against Data Protection laws in my country to deny them this right. Google don't be evil? Ha right.

Bump. This destroys an average use case of third party IAC tools, namely rapid provisioning/destruction of projects. The fact that the ID is locked down for up to a month is annoying. Either a "force" option to nuke the project within a few minutes, or releasing/resetting the project ID immediately when a delete is requested, would be acceptable. Another option would be for support to have the ability to delete a project immediately - anything is better than having your project ID squatted on for a month.

In trying to deploy projects via Deployment Manager, creating and deleting quickly causes me to exceed the project quota. I am in learning mode for deployment manager in a POC and am stuck waiting because I have too many projects pending deletion.

This is also an issue because you can't deploy a new project with the same name of a project in the Pending Deletion state :(

Can we get an update/resolution on this? This has been open for over two years. A resolution would be appreciated!

+1 on this one too. Can I suggest a --force option at least so we can work around the default? Thanks

Agreed that this needs to happen. It's quite easy to hit up against quotas if you have too many projects sitting in the pending deletion queue, which will happen if you're developing tools focused on automation around immutability. Increasing the project quota limit isn't really the answer because you can still hit up against limits in the 100s during development and testing. I'm unable to use my Google Cloud accounts for testing and development at the moment because of this.

Bump. The low default project quota and "pending" deletion state is really hurting my ability to create environments for my training courses.
Any news on this one? Ability to delete projects permanently, or not counting projects pending deletion against the project quota, would be great! We're hitting this issue when trying to bring project management under automated management. Cheers!
