SSL On Google Cloud Storage (HTML SITES)
Would be a pretty cool feature :)
Thanks, we’re considering this.

Considering? Here's my experience..
Google says: All website must use https
Google says: Here look at this nifty app engine in the cloud
Google says: Here we have these handy storage buckets for your static web pages
Google says: You must use CNAME to link your domain to storage buckets
Google says: Sorry you can't use https via CNAME to access the storage buckets

If you only knew how many of us would love to have this feature! I want to build sites and host them from GCP directly, not through Firebase (for PHP-related reasons, among others). The whole go-through-a-CDN or go-through-a-load-balancer doesn't make sense for small business sites that are typically not viewed from outside their own regions. Since this feature didn't get announced at the most recent Google event, I hope that doesn't mean it'll be next year before it's even announced, much less deployed.
